Avowed reaches 17 thousand simultaneous online players on Steam

Obsidian Entertainment and Microsoft's Avowed is now available to all players worldwide, following an early access period for premium version owners that lasted for a week. Since its release, the number of players in the fantasy role-playing game has been growing rapidly.

Here's What We Know

During the extended access phase, the game reached a peak of more than 13 thousand simultaneous players on Steam. On the day of its full release, Avowed peaked at 17,171 simultaneous players on the platform, according to SteamDB. In comparison, Obsidian Entertainment's previous role-playing game, The Outer Worlds, reached a historic peak of 20,349 simultaneous players on Steam.

Like other Xbox titles, Avowed is also available on PC Game Pass, which likely drew away some of Steam's potential player base. Additionally, new releases often see increased player activity in the first weekend, so the game's numbers may continue to grow in the coming days.
