Steven Spielberg's untitled UFO sci-fi film will be released on 12 June 2026

Steven Spielberg is returning to science fiction. His new, as yet untitled film about UFOs will be released on 12 June 2026, not 15 May as previously planned.

Here's What We Know

Hollywood often announces film release dates long before production is complete, and Spielberg's new project is no exception. Despite the star-studded cast, which includes Emily Blunt and Colin Firth, the film still has no official title. The working title of the project is "An Untitled Steven Spielberg Amblin Universal Film".

The plot of the film is kept secret, but it is known that it is related to UFOs. The script is written by David Koenig, who previously worked with Spielberg on War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The change in release date is due to changes in the production schedule of The Daniels. Now, Spielberg's film will be released simultaneously with the relaunch of the Very Scary Movie and a week before Toy Story 5.

Initially, the film was supposed to be released between major Disney franchises such as Avengers: Doomsday and The Mandalorian and Grog.
