Updated Volvo XC60 2026: minimal design changes, more technology

Volvo has updated its most popular crossover - XC60. There is no global design change, but there are new colours, updated on-board system interface and faster multimedia system.
What is known
XC60 borrowed features of the updated XC90, presented last September. It has a redesigned grille, darker taillights and new wheel rims. The XC60 also gets two new colours - Forest Lake and Aurora Silver - and will be available in Mulberry Red for the first time.
Inside, the XC60 gets a larger 11.2-inch infotainment system screen protruding above the centre console. The car comes off the assembly line with the latest software, which can be updated over the air, and upgraded hardware. Volvo claims the new infotainment system is twice as fast as the previous one, thanks to the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit platform. The automaker has also redesigned the mesh grille for the speakers.

Volvo doesn't mention any powertrain changes for the updated XC60. The Swedish carmaker sells the crossover in Europe in the following versions: B5 AWD (250 hp), B6 AWD (300 hp), plug-in hybrid T6 AWD (350 hp), plug-in hybrid T8 AWD (455 hp).
In some countries, the updated XC60 can be ordered today. Availability and timing of the 2026 model year versions will depend on the market.
