Apple unveiled iPhone 16e - a budget gadget with OLED display, powerful processor and new 5G modem

Apple held a presentation of a new budget smartphone.
As we reported, the novelty was named not iPhone SE4, but iPhone 16e.
Here's What We Know
The iPhone 16e is the most affordable current smartphone from Apple, which will replace the iPhone SE3 (2022). The iPhone 16e got the same hardware as the iPhone 16, and it got the design from the iPhone 14.
Designers abandoned the thick frames on the top and bottom, physical "Home" button, replaced the Lightning port with USB-C, and instead of the switch "Ring/Silent" installed Action Button.
The front panel of the iPhone 16e is identical to the iPhone 13 and 14, but the rear casing is unique - it only got a single 48MP camera, while the front camera has a 12MP resolution.
The iPhone 16e, like the more expensive model, is equipped with an Apple A18 chip and 8GB of RAM to run Apple Intelligence.
The new product will be the first iPhone model to get the Apple C1 modem. Apple's official blog said:
Extending the benefits of Apple Silicon, the C1 is the first modem developed by Apple and the most power-efficient modem ever on an iPhone, delivering fast and reliable 5G cellular connectivity. Apple Silicon, including the C1's all-new internal design and advanced iOS 18 power management, contribute to extraordinary battery life.
