Samsung showed off its new Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, where the main Galaxy S25 lineup was unveiled. However, no one was allowed to touch the device back then. Now our colleagues from Sammobile have revealed the secret of what the body of the novelty is made of.

Here's What We Know

It is reported that the side frame of the Galaxy S25 Edge is made of aluminium, but the back panel is made of ceramic material to improve durability. It is not known if the back panel is fully ceramic or a glass version with fused ceramic material. Samsung may have done this to reduce the weight of the phone.

The Galaxy S25 Edge could be Samsung's thinnest smartphone as it is rumoured to be 5.84mm thick, but the company has yet to confirm this. Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge at MWC 2025 in the first week of March, but it is not known if attendees will be allowed to touch or use the device.

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch screen, dual cameras on the back and a 3,900mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Samsung has equipped the phone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM and 256GB or higher storage. The Galaxy S25 Edge will run Android 15 (One UI 7.0) out of the box, and this model is expected to launch in April.
