Lenovo has announced its new Legion LM60 portable access point. This compact device will be available in China at a price of 179 yuan (approximately USD 25) from 26 February.

Here's What We Know

Although portable Wi-Fi access points are not new, Lenovo is trying to stand out with its long-lasting performance, improved connection stability, and gamer-friendly features.

The main advantage of the LM60 is its 3000 mAh battery, which provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation. Lenovo promises that this battery is optimised for low power consumption and can even withstand cold temperatures.

The mobile router is powered by a ZTE chipset with Wi-Fi 6 technology, which provides twice the data transfer speed of previous models while consuming 55% less power. The LM60 supports download speeds of up to 150Mbps and can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously, making it ideal for laptops, smartphones and other gadgets.

With built-in acceleration, lag in more than 140 mobile games is reduced, resulting in a smooth gameplay experience. The three antennas in the LM60 guarantee a stable signal up to 30 metres away. There's also a USB Type-C port that allows you to use this access point as a wired connection, providing broadband-like speeds.

However, it's worth noting that the device comes with a built-in SIM card that requires registration in the system to activate. This could be a limitation for those planning to use it outside of China.
