Severance becomes the most popular series on Apple TV+, breaking even Ted Lasso's record
The Severance series set new viewing records, becoming the most successful show on Apple TV+, overtaking Ted Lasso.

Apple has confirmed that Severance has garnered a record 589 million minutes of viewing in the US, with 28% of that coming from the second season premiere. These numbers continue to grow as new episodes are released every week.
Due to the show's success, Apple has seen a significant increase in subscriptions to its service, including a 126% increase in sign-ups between 1 and 19 January 2025 compared to the previous month.
Severance tells the story of a group of employees at Lumon Industries who have agreed to a medical procedure that has divided their memories into work and personal ones. Adam Scott, Brit Lowery and Patricia Arquette play the lead roles.
Severance currently holds a 97% fresh from critics and 81% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
