Set in the world of Eora, the same universe as Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2, the game takes players to the mysterious Living Lands for a brand new adventure. As an envoy of the Aediran Empire, your mission is to investigate the deadly Dream Scourge. Your choices determine the course of your journey, as you can join several factions, each offering unique perspectives and potential endings.

The exploration is very flexible, with different ways to approach quests. Combat is played from a first-person perspective, allowing players to combine swords, shields, sticks, firearms, and more to create powerful combinations.
