Intelligent trees enter the battle: the developers of turn-based strategy game Songs of Conquest have revealed the first details of the Roots add-on

Lavapotion studio revealed the first details of the next story add-on for the fantasy turn-based strategy game Songs of Conquest, which is considered by many to be the spiritual successor of the cult game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
Here's What We Know
The developer announced that the DLC will be called Roots and will be dedicated to the race of Intelligent Trees. The add-on will be released in the summer of 2025 and will add two new challenge maps and five conquest maps to the game, as well as tell the story of a new faction.
The Roots community - that's the name of the Mind Trees faction - is built on the principle of a hive, where each member of the group has its own tasks, privileges and rules, and the main units are "Mothers".
One of the main features of Roots will be the ability to control dead enemies, who will mutate and obey the commands of the Trees.
More details about Roots and regional prices of the add-on developers promise to reveal a little later.
