Gadget manufacturers are in serious competition in many segments, including battery capacity. Perhaps in the near future the Chinese company Oppo will make a big step in improving their efficiency.
Here's What We Know
An insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station on Chinese social network Weibo reported that Oppo is currently testing an 8,000 mAh battery with 15 per cent higher silicon content and 80W fast charging support.
The average battery capacity in today's smartphones rarely exceeds 5,000 mAh, mostly in the 2,000 to 4,000 mAh range. If Oppo succeeds and releases a not too expensive smartphone with 8000 mAh capacity - it will give the company a serious advantage in the market.
