Fitbit smartwatch barely lasts a day without recharging after update
In January, Google released a new update for Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense smartwatches, which was supposed to fix the problem with battery overheating.
Here's What We Know
Users received a notification to download this mandatory update. However, after installing it, many of them began to complain that the battery life of their devices had significantly decreased.
Consumers report that their smartwatches barely last one day after the update. One Fitbit Versa 3 owner noted that his device used to last five to six days without recharging, but now it lasts only a day. Another Fitbit Sense user said that the battery "started to drain quickly".
According to Google's support page, the update was supposed to improve battery stability and reduce the risk of overheating. However, instead of improvement, users have experienced problems with battery life, making it difficult to use the devices.
Additionally, the update is mandatory and if not installed within a few days, the watch will reset all settings and information, including alarms, goals, and saved settings. After the reset, users will have to set up the device again.
What Google offers
Google does not leave users without support. The company has introduced a form through which those affected by the latest update can register for a $50 compensation.
