"Retailers don't know anything!" - Former Nintendo employee predicts Switch 2 release date

Information about the release date of the new Nintendo Switch 2 hybrid console is expected to be revealed by the Japanese company at a special show to be held on April 2, but a huge amount of rumours, insights, speculation and sometimes even speculation on the subject regularly appear online.
A former Nintendo of America employee who identified himself as "Sean" (Sean) answered a major question from Nintendo fans.
Here's What We Know
Sean, who once worked in sales and retail at Nintendo of America, took part in the Kit and Krista podcast and explained that in reality, no retailer ever knows in advance what Nintendo's plans are. Consequently, all the leaks about "some big retailer in Canada" knowing the Switch 2 release date are meaningless, as this information is announced by Nintendo at the very last minute, just days in advance.
Based on his experience in the American branch of the Japanese company, Sean assumed that Nintendo plans to launch the new console at the end of the school year: in the middle or near the end of June. The marketer believes that in this way sales will be more active due to the desire of children to get the novelty and many parents will not be able to refuse them.
But even if Sean is wrong in the forecast, he assures that by the end of summer the console will definitely be on sale.
