Steam players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the use of generative AI in video games and want to be able to filter such projects, and so far, this option has only appeared on SteamDB.

Here's What We Know

In response to the request to add such a filter, many users supported the idea.

"I don't want to play a game that no one wanted to create. I want to play things created by people who love what they've done," said one player.

Although Steam does not offer such a feature yet, the author of SteamDB has implemented this idea on the site by adding an automatic tag based on information about the use of AI on Steam game pages.

As of now, only at the very end of the game page on Steam, the publisher has to add a note about the use of AI, but this information is so far away that not everyone will notice it, so you can still use SteamDB, but given the trend, this will appear officially on Steam.

It is worth reminding you that Call of Duty uses generative AI to create some components and this has been officially confirmed.
