Apple has officially released the first public beta versions of its upcoming software updates, including iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS Sequoia 15.4, watchOS 11.4, and tvOS 15.4, available to public beta testers.

Here's What We Know

These updates follow a recent developer release that allows users to explore new features before the official launch.

To access the updates, public users can go to the Settings app on their devices after registering on Apple's public beta testing website.

Here's What's New About It

Notable improvements include Priority Alerts, a new Apple Intelligence feature that prioritises the most important alerts, allowing users to see critical notifications first. In addition, a new Thumbnail Style for Image Playground has been introduced.

A special Food section has been added for Apple News+ subscribers, featuring recipes, culinary stories and healthy eating tips. The Atmospheric Music feature has been integrated into the Control Centre, allowing users to easily enjoy soothing music in the background.

Among other features, iOS 18.4 introduces the Vision Pro headset control app, making it easier to discover content and download new apps and TV content directly from the iPhone. The update also makes it easier to manage Vision Pro's Guest Mode.

On iPad and Mac, the update expands Mail Categorisation, which was previously only available on iPhone, improving organisation across devices.
