Sony Honda Mobility has opened the first showroom for the AFEELA EV in Los Angeles - sales will start in 2026
AFEELA 1, the first electric vehicle jointly developed by Sony and Honda, is now available for public viewing in Los Angeles. Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHM) opened a temporary showroom at the Westfield Century City mall on Saturday, February 22. There you can tour the vehicle and learn about its digital technology. Test drives are unfortunately not available yet.
Here's What We Know
The showroom in Los Angeles will be open until 1 August 2025. The opening comes in preparation for the launch of full AFEELA Studio Delivery Hubs shops in Torrance and Fremont, California, which will begin operations in the second half of 2025.
The AFEELA 1 electric sedan will be produced at Honda's Ohio plant, with first deliveries in California scheduled for 2026. Pre-booking is already open, but only for California residents for now - the fee is $200.

The AFEELA 1 will be the first mass-market electric car for Sony, a company that until a few years ago had no ties to the auto industry. A showroom in a shopping centre is a popular strategy among electric car makers, which was once introduced by Tesla.
