Dauntless, a role-playing game in the style of Monster Hunter, will be shut down on 29 May

Phoenix Labs announced in a post on X (Twitter) that Dauntless servers will stop working on 29 May 2025. Interestingly, the developers did not provide any explanation for this decision.

Here's What We Know

It is worth noting that in May last year , we wrote that Phoenix Labs had made layoffs, and the studio would focus on supporting only two projects - Dauntless and Fae Farms, cancelling the development of all the previous ones. And at the end of January this year, the company carried out the fourth wave of layoffs, during which most of the studio's employees were fired.

Probably, financial troubles and layoffs were the main reasons for the closure of Dauntless.
