Framework 12 modular notebook officially unveiled: compact, durable and maintainable
Framework has announced the Framework 12, an affordable 12-inch laptop transformer that can be easily repaired and upgraded.

Initially, the device was designed for students, but after testing, it became clear that it would be of interest to adult users as well.
Framework 12 has a touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and 400 nits of brightness, which ensures comfortable work indoors and even outdoors. The device supports a stylus, but the company has not yet specified whether it supports pressure sensitivity.
The laptop will be powered by 13th-generation Intel processors (Core i3 or Core i5) and support up to 48 GB of DDR5-5200 RAM and 2 TB of NVMe SSD storage. The body design combines polycarbonate (PC) and ABS plastic with a protective TPU layer to absorb shocks. Thanks to this, the laptop can withstand intensive use.
The Framework 12 will feature a universal modular port system, similar to the Framework 13 and 16, allowing users to choose the connectors they need. The device will support both Windows and Linux.
The company has not yet announced the price of the new product, but pre-orders will open in April, and the first deliveries are scheduled for mid-2025.
