Deadlock received a major update with an updated map and changes to the gameplay
Valve has released a major patch for Deadlock, which has significantly changed the gameplay and map of the game. One of the most important changes was the reduction of the number of lines from four to three, which simplifies the map and changes the strategy of players.
Here's What We Know
This change is accompanied by the redesign of neutral camps, ventilation shafts, and power-ups to fit the new map configuration.
In addition, the sprint speed has been doubled, and many heroes have received model improvements and new abilities. Players no longer need to kill enemy Troopers to summon Soul Orbs, making them easier to collect.
These changes come amidst a decline in the game's active audience, which has fallen from over 170,000 players in September to only 10-20,000 now. The patch comes at a critical time for Deadlock, and now we have to wait to see how players adapt to the new game conditions and whether they will be able to regain interest in the project.
