The patent for the innovative Nemesis system remains with Warner Bros. until 2036 and it is unlikely that we will see it now after the closure of Monolith
Warner Bros. has cancelled the development of the Wonder Woman game and closed Monolith Productions, the studio behind the project that created the innovative Nemesis system, but its fate is now unknown.
Here's What We Know
The Wonder Woman game was supposed to use the revolutionary Nemesis System, which first appeared in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. However, this system belongs to Warner Bros. due to a patent that is valid until 2036, which limits the possibility of its use by other developers.
The Nemesis system works as follows: when you meet an enemy and he defeats you, he can grow in rank and become stronger. And if you defeat him, you can influence his fate by killing him or pardoning him. If you do not kill him, the enemy may remember this act of mercy and even become your ally in the future.
And it's a shame that such "effective" solutions leave the industry's coolest systems in the back of the drawer.
We would like to remind you that the cancelled Wonder Woman game is called "magnificent and large-scale", and each participant made every effort.
