REDMI is testing a K-series gaming smartphone with a built-in cooler and RGB backlighting, according to an insider

According to the latest leaks, Redmi is actively working on several high-performance smartphones. Apart from the expected Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset in April, the brand is also developing a K-series gaming phone. In recent posts on Weibo, a Digital Chat Station whistleblower shared key details about the device.
Here's What We Know
The mysterious Redmi K-series smartphone is being tested with an advanced cooling system that includes an inbuilt fan with RGB lighting. This indicates that the device is meant for gaming, where temperature management plays a crucial role in sustained performance.
The phone could be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite (SM8735) chipset, which will debut in April. One of the main features of the device is the massive battery, which is expected to exceed 7,000 mAh. While this is likely to be a K80 series phone, the official name and exact launch date remain unknown.
Considering that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with the same chipset is set to launch in April in China, the gaming phone could debut in the first or second quarter of 2025.
