La Quimera shooter - a new game from the creators of the Metro series - has been unveiled
Yesterday screenshots and the first information about futuristic shooter La Quimera from Reburn studio, which was founded by former developers from Ukrainian studio 4A Games, appeared in the network. And today the authors of Metro series officially presented their new game.
Here's What We Know
The events of La Quimera will unfold in 2064 in the South American metropolis. The footage shown shows a huge number of high-tech gadgets, robots and weapons.
Here's how the game is described in Steam:
The year is 2064. Most nation states have ceased to exist. A series of natural and man-made disasters in the 2030s and 2040s have led to the collapse of global systems and the fragmentation of human societies. Political entities in this new world are microstates that, despite ongoing conflicts between states and corporations, generally see no point in maintaining their own armies and have to rely on mercenaries. The "golden era" of private military companies has arrived.
In terms of gameplay and staging of scenes La Quimera resembles Metro, but with an obvious departure into cyberpunk aesthetics and with increased dynamics of events. It is noteworthy that the story of the game is the responsibility of the famous Danish director and screenwriter Nicolas Winding Refn, whom gamers may know from the role of Heartman in Death Stranding.
La Quimera can be played alone or in teams with other players.
Only English localisation has been announced so far.
The game's release date is unknown, but it can already be added to your Steam wishlist.
