Infinix has presented a prototype of the Zero Series Mini Tri-Fold smartphone, which can be folded in three parts at once. The company believes that the device will be able to replace not only a regular smartphone but also a smartwatch and an action camera.

Here's What We Know

Zero Series Mini Tri-Fold can change shape depending on the user's needs. Its screen supports three different configurations:

  • Compact mode - the device takes up minimal space when folded.
  • Expanded mode - the screen expands to provide more space for viewing content or working with applications.
  • Tent mode - allows you to position your smartphone so that each side is used for separate tasks, for example, to communicate in different languages through the integrated translator.

Infinix claims that the Zero Series Mini Tri-Fold can double as a fitness tracker and action camera. Thanks to special accessories, it can be attached to a bike or backpack, using the built-in cameras to record video on the move.

What's more, the Mini Tri-Fold cameras can analyse the user's movements during workouts, helping to improve technique. This could make the smartphone an alternative to fitness bracelets and smartwatches.

So far, Infinix has not disclosed the exact specifications of the device, such as the display diagonal, resolution, or processor power. There is also no information on the release date or estimated price.

However, the very fact that such a concept has appeared confirms the growing interest in foldable gadgets.
