Oppo Reno 14 Pro may get an Apple-like camera button
Oppo continues to update the Reno series twice a year, and in 2025, the company plans to add 14 premium features to the Reno lineup, previously available only in flagships.
Here's What We Know
The new models are expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, improved 0809 tactile feedback, and IP68/69 water and dust protection. In addition, the smartphones will have a metal frame and AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1.5K.
Reno 14 Pro is likely to be equipped with a 50MP triple camera with 3x periscope zoom and Sony IMX882 and Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensors. The smartphone may also feature a Quick Button for camera control, an analogue of Apple's Camera Control, first introduced in the flagship Find X8.
In addition, this button is rumoured to be touch-sensitive and will be able to perform additional functions, such as quick profile switching.
According to a Digital Chat Station insider, not only Reno 14 but also other Oppo models, including the upcoming K12, OnePlus Ace 3V, and even Nord 4 series, may receive such updates.
Oppo is also preparing to launch a new flagship smartphone, the Find X8 Ultra, in April 2025. According to the latest leaks, the company may also introduce the Oppo Pad 4 Pro tablet equipped with the same top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
If the information is confirmed, the Pad 4 Pro will be the successor to the Pad 3 Pro (known as the OnePlus Pad 2 in the global market).
