Honor will start offering 7-year support for Magic series smartphones

Honor has announced an increase in support for its Magic series smartphones.

The Chinese company has announced that it will provide 7 years of Android operating system and security updates in its smartphones.

At the moment it is stated that only the Honor Magic 7 Pro will receive such support. The manufacturer does not specify whether such a decision will extend to previous Honor models in the future.

Thus, Honor will become the third global company after Google and Samsung to offer such a long support for smartphones.

The move is part of an initiative that the Chinese company has called "Alpha Plan". It involves the creation of a global gadget system that will be under the control of AI.
