Activision has officially announced the postponement of the third season of Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6 to 3 April. One of the main events of the season will be the return of the iconic Verdansk map.

Here's What We Know

Initially, the third season was planned to launch on 20 March, but the developers decided to take additional time to improve the content. In a post on social media, Activision called the third season an "important moment" for the franchise and explained that the delay was necessary to ensure a high-quality gaming experience.

The main event of the new season will be the return of the Verdansk map, which first appeared in Warzone in March 2020. The map will retain its original look, which should make players feel nostalgic. This is the first time since 2021 that Verdansk will be available to players.

In addition, Activision has announced the launch of a new merchandise line called the Verdansk Collection, which will be available in the official Call of Duty store on 10 March, the fifth anniversary of Warzone.

Fans of the franchise welcomed the news of the delay, understanding the importance of a quality update. However, expectations from the return of Verdansk are very high: if the map does not meet expectations, it could lead to an even greater drop in interest in Warzone.

Warzone has been facing problems for a long time, such as a decline in the number of players and criticism of the content of recent updates. Therefore, the third season is seen as a chance to restore the game's popularity.
