Studio Fizbin, known for its unique projects such as The Inner World and Minute of Islands, has announced its closure after the release of its latest game, Reignbreaker. This decision was the result of a reduction in internal development by its parent company Thunderful.

Here's What We Know

The studio had been operating for 14 years and had its own special style of game development. However, like many other studios, it suffered from the difficult situation in the industry. In November 2024, Thunderful decided to drastically reduce internal development, which affected Studio Fizbin. Despite attempts to find alternative projects after the release of Reignbreaker, none of them received the green light for implementation.

"The industry is in a difficult state, and we have suffered like many other great studios in recent months," said co-founder Alexander Pieper.

Reignbreaker is an action roguelike with a unique style that is due out on 18 March. The game promises to be the studio's best release yet, and the team is working hard to ensure a quality launch.

The studio was one of those unique projects that did something special, but unfortunately, it was unable to turn its creative ambitions into long-term stability.

The team is currently focusing on the release of Reignbreaker and supporting its talented developers in finding new opportunities in the industry. A specific date for the studio's closure has not yet been announced.
