AC Schnitzer has added aggression to the Mini Cooper Electric, but not power
Tuning studio AC Schnitzer has presented a set of modifications for the electric Mini Cooper J01. Instead of power increase, the company staked on aggressive design, improved aerodynamics and revised suspension.
What's changed?
The main technical change is a lowered and stiffer suspension. The front axle has been lowered by 25mm and the rear axle by 12mm, improving handling and potentially reducing aerodynamic drag. 19-inch AC1 discs are also included.
Visually, the electric Mini is more aggressive thanks to a front splitter and a small roof spoiler, which AC Schnitzer says improves airflow and stability at high speeds.
Interior and specification
Changes to the interior are minimal, with the only addition being an aluminium footrest with the tuner's logo. The main emphasis remains on the round OLED multimedia display - a unique feature of the new Mini.
The Mini Cooper J01 is available in three versions:
- Cooper E (184 hp) - range 305 km (WLTP)
- Cooper SE (218 hp) - range of 402 km (WLTP).
- Cooper JCW (258 hp) - range 372 km (WLTP).
The cost of the tuning kit has not yet been disclosed, but each item will be available to order separately.
