The plot of Assassin's Creed Shadows will last approximately 30-40 hours

Ubisoft has repeatedly emphasised that Assassin's Creed Shadows will have a smaller map compared to previous games in the series, such as Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla, but this relative compactness did not have a significant impact on the length of the story.

In a recent interview with Twitter user @Genki_JPN, creative director Jonathan Dumont shared information about the game's duration. According to Dumont, the main story will take approximately 30-40 hours to complete. However, players who participate in the additional content can expect a much longer experience, potentially exceeding 80 hours.

This is in line with previous statements from Dumont, who previously compared the length of Shadows' main story to that of Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey, suggesting a total playtime of 30-50 hours.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is scheduled to release on 20 March for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
