Joe Russo, co-director of the upcoming Marvel films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, said that his studio GGBO is ready to create a new Avengers game.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Variety, Russo explained that while the studio is currently focused on creating new intellectual property, they are interested in exploring different storytelling mediums, including games. He and his brother Anthony, along with Donald Mastard, are working on building new expansive worlds with the aim of creating stories with the scope and depth of the Star Wars universe, but in other genres.

Russo also said that AGBO is working with Donald Mastard, the creator of Fortnite, to explore the future of storytelling by combining linear, virtual and game elements. The studio aims to create a transmedia approach where resources used in film can be integrated into games and virtual experiences.

Anthony Russo added that AGBO's approach to game development will be similar to that of cinema, focusing on tailoring each project to its unique creative vision.

The first game developed by AGBO will be based on the Netflix film The Electric State and will be released on Android and iOS on 18 March.
