Schooff also stressed that the Netherlands will continue to provide political, military and financial assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

"It was good to have the opportunity to talk to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the developments in Ukraine after Sunday's meeting in London. Among other things, we discussed the Dutch investment package worth €700 million for drones, which is partly aimed at Ukraine's defence industry," Schooff said.

During his conversation with the Dutch prime minister, Zelenskyy also discussed coordination with partners and the preparation of a joint plan to bring about a just peace.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Netherlands has already provided Ukraine with military assistance worth almost €6 billion. This includes combat aircraft, drones, air defence systems, ammunition, radars and other military equipment.

In recent years, the Netherlands has provided Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets to strengthen its Air Force, as well as drones, artillery shells, tank ammunition and individual weapons. Other supplies included ATVs, Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles, medical equipment and food parcels.
