Amazon has launched a test of AI dubbing of films and TV series on its Prime Video service

Streaming service Prime Video has launched testing of automatic dubbing of films and TV series with the help of artificial intelligence.

Amazon said that 12 films and TV series that previously had no localisation have already been translated in this way. The dubbing was carried out in English and Spanish (Latin American version), and the company involved not only AI, but also a professional team.

Amazon hopes that such innovations will help to overcome the language barrier and attract new users to Prime Video.

It should be noted that this is not the first experience of using Amazon's AI, earlier the company introduced the X-Ray Recaps feature, which briefly retells the content of TV series, films and individual episodes, and Dialogue Boost to improve the clarity of the sound of characters' conversations.
