Google's Find My Device app has received a new feature that will help users track their loved ones
Google has expanded the functionality of the Find My Device app by adding a People tab that allows users to track the location of their loved ones.
Here's What We Know
The feature was part of the March Pixel Drop update and will be available for all Android devices. Users can now share their location with friends and family or track them in real-time. The "People" tab provides two options, "Sharing with you" and "You're sharing with." The former shows a list of people who share their location with the user and the latter shows those with whom the user shares their location. The option to add new contacts to share with is also available.
The app displays a person's location on a map, the charge level of their device and the time when the data was last updated. Users can route to the selected contact or stop sharing their location.
The new People tab is still available in the beta version of the Find My Device app for Android devices, but it will soon be available in the final release.
