Russia proposes to build a drone manufacturing plant in Belarus

Russia has offered Belarus to set up a drone manufacturing company, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Russian President Maxim Oreshkin said during an exhibition of Russian drones visited by Alexander Lukashenko.

According to him, the plan is to build a plant capable of producing up to 100,000 drones annually. It will be fully localised and operate on a single technological platform with Russian enterprises. The project envisages the production of all key components using Russian technology.

Lukashenka declared his readiness to implement the initiative and proposed to form a group of Belarusian specialists who would be sent to Russia for training in unmanned aerial vehicles.

It is not yet known what models of drones are planned to be produced at the new plant.
