Latvia has signed an agreement with Origin Robotics to develop technology to combat enemy drones. The company will create a specialised system to detect, track, and neutralise drones.

Here's What We Know

Origin Robotics, known for its developments in robotics and artificial intelligence, will integrate this technology into a high-speed interceptor drone. The drone will be equipped with advanced sensors, radar systems and machine learning algorithms to effectively neutralise drones.

Origin Robotics' CEO said the company is committed to providing state-of-the-art solutions to defend against the growing threat of drones.

"Our team is committed to providing state-of-the-art solutions to defend against the growing threat of drones. We are confident that our technology will significantly increase the safety and security of Latvia," he explained.

As part of the project, Origin Robotics will cooperate with Latvian universities and research institutions, which will contribute to the development of the local high-tech industry.

The project will be financed in a 65/35 ratio, with 65% of the investment coming from the defence sector and 35% from industrial partners. In short, the company already has experience in developing autonomous aerial combat systems and has demonstrated its developments on the example of the BEAK drone.
