Sony has unveiled a special version of the DualSense controller dedicated to The Last of Us. The limited edition will go on sale on 10 April 2025, ahead of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC and the premiere of the second season of the series on HBO.

Here's What We Know

The new DualSense controller has a unique design inspired by the world of The Last of Us. It features glossy black icons that represent key moments, characters, and events from both parts of the game.

Neil Druckmann, Head of Studio at Naughty Dog, and graphic designer Megan Meran spoke about the design concept: "We wanted to reflect both parts of The Last of Us through the icons on the controller. Among them, three special images stand out: a firefly, a butterfly and a wolf. Players will recognise the iconic Firefly logo from the first game, while the butterfly and wolf symbolise the intertwined fates of Ellie and Abby from the second game."

Pre-orders for the limited edition controller will start on 14 March on PlayStation Direct and in selected retailers. The price of the device will be $85.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC is scheduled for release on 3 April, and the second season of the series will premiere on HBO Max on 13 April. The new controller will be a great addition for fans of the franchise who are waiting for these releases.
