Insider: Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will definitely get a physical and collector's edition, with a release date to be announced in the coming days

One of the most reputable gaming industry insiders billbil-kun shared some interesting information for those who are waiting for the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Here's What We Know

For starters, the French journalist recalled that he was the one who voiced the game's full title in January 2024 - before it was officially revealed.

billbil-kun believes that the release date for one of the most anticipated games of 2025 will be announced in the next few days, most likely to happen on 9 March (at 22:00 CET) during Hideo Kojima's appearance at the SXSW 2025 show in Texas. This is not only indicated by the public platform, but also by the Japanese game designer's increased activity on social media.

In addition, billbil-kun confirmed that Death Stranding 2 will be released not only digitally, but also on disc, and in two editions:

  • Standard for €79.99/$69.99;
  • Collector's Edition for $229.99.

The insider is sure that the physical editions will be sold in North America and Europe, and about other regions he has no information yet.

Recall, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be a direct sequel to the famous game in 2019.

The main character Sam Porter Bridges and his girlfriend Fragile will continue their work to unite disparate settlements into a single network, but this time they will not be limited to former US cities and will go to other territories of the American continent.

As in the first part, the players will face a huge open world, filled with various dangers, including otherworldly entities.

At the moment Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is announced as a Playstation 5 exclusive, but there is a high probability that the release on other platforms will not have to wait long.
