Publishers Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon presented the first gameplay trailer of mystical horror game The Occultist.

Here's What We Know

The footage shown reminds us that the protagonist will find himself in an ancient mansion on Godstone Island, where he hopes to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance, for which he uses a magic pendulum to interact with spirits and other otherworldly entities and even change reality.

The Occultist gameplay looks traditional for horror games of this format: players need to explore the rooms and corridors of the ominous house, avoid collisions with ghosts and automatons, solve puzzles and try to understand the reasons of the events.

The main character of The Occultist will be paranormal researcher Alan Rebels, who will be voiced by actor Doug Cockle, known as the voice of Geralt from The Witcher games.

When We Can Expect It

Unfortunately, developers from DALOAR Studios have announced that the game, which will be released on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, has been pushed back to 2026.

The game can be added to your wishlist on Steam.
