AMD releases its latest Ryzen X3D processors: sales start on 12 March

AMD has officially confirmed that its latest Ryzen X3D gaming processors will go on sale on 12 March. We are talking about the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D models, which were first presented at CES 2025.
Here's What We Know
The flagship Ryzen 9 9950X3D has 16 cores based on the Zen 5 architecture, a maximum clock speed of 5.7 GHz, and the second generation of 3D V-Cache technology. The younger 9900X3D model is equipped with 12 cores and overclocks to 5.5 GHz.
The key feature of the new chips is 3D V-Cache, a technology that allows cache memory to be placed in a vertical format, providing higher performance in tasks where fast data access is important. AMD first implemented this technology in desktop processors, and in 2023 it was brought to laptops.
According to AMD, Ryzen 9 9950X3D delivers up to 20% faster performance in 40 popular games compared to Intel Core i9-285K. In professional applications, the speed increase is at least 10%. When combined with the recently released Radeon 9070 graphics cards, AMD offers an excellent solution for building a powerful gaming PC.
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D processors will go on sale on 12 March. The price of the older model will start at $699, and the younger one will cost from $599.
In February, the new AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D processors appeared in the popular Geekbench benchmark, demonstrating a significant performance improvement over previous generations.
