ASUS announces ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG: fast 4K QD-OLED monitor for gamers
ASUS has announced the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG gaming monitor, which features a 26.5-inch Samsung QD-OLED panel with 4K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms response time.
Here's What We Know
The new product supports G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro technologies for a smooth, tear-free picture. The panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 space and 145% of sRGB, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification ensures high contrast and deep blacks.
ASUS OLED Care Pro includes the Neo proximity sensor that automatically dims the screen when idle, reducing the risk of pixel burn-in. OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 helps maintain brightness by reducing flicker.
The monitor is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC) and USB-C with 90W Power Delivery. There is also a built-in USB hub with three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
Gaming features include GamePlus for reticle and timer display, GameVisual with modes for different genres, Shadow Boost for better visibility in dark scenes, and ELMB for motion blur reduction.
The ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG has VESA AdaptiveSync Display 240Hz certification, TÜV Blue Light Reduction hardware technology, and advanced passive cooling.
The monitor is currently available in China for RMB 6,499 (~$899), with no word on global availability yet.
ASUS has recently introduced a new business laptop, the ExpertBook B1, which promises to combine enterprise-level performance, lightness, and security.
