Galaxy A24 gets update with vulnerability fixes and February 2025 patch

Samsung continues to release quarterly security updates for the Galaxy A24. The company has now begun rolling out updates for this model in a number of regions, including Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The SM-A245F model received the security patch for February 2025.

Here's What We Know

The update includes fixes for several security vulnerabilities. The firmware package with the latest patch is version A245FXXS8CYB1. Samsung is expected to roll out the update to other Galaxy A24 variants in different regions in the coming days.

How To Switch It On

To check if the update is available, go to your phone's settings: Settings, Software update, Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the firmware manually from our files section and install it using the Odin app on your Windows computer.

The Galaxy A24 also gets access to One UI 7.0 on Android 15. This update will bring a significantly updated interface, new features and smoother animations. Samsung is expected to start rolling out One UI 7 within the next month.

Recently, it was reported that Samsung may be approaching the Trump administration in the US over new chip duties. Samsung may change the head of its North American public relations division. According to Korean media reports, the current head of the division, Mark Lippert, is on the verge of resigning. He was the US ambassador to South Korea during the Obama administration and joined Samsung in 2022 due to his ties to the Democratic Party.
