We already reported that the reputable insider Ice Universe shared the cost, body thickness and weight of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge flagship ultra-thin smartphone. It impressed with its dimensions, but the main competitor of the Korean company - Apple - is preparing to present an even thinner smartphone.

Here's What We Know

Ice Universe reported that the iPhone 17 Air will be only 5.5mm thick, while the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be 5.84mm thick.

The insider mentioned that apart from the thickness, the dimensions of the iPhone 17 Air are the same as the iPhone 17 Pro Max: both smartphones will get a body with a height of 163 mm, width of 77.6 mm, and a display size of 6.9″, but the Pro Max will be 8.725 mm thick.

So if Ice Universe's information is confirmed, the 17 Air will be the thinnest iPhone in the company's history.

When We Can Expect It

The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to be unveiled in September.
