Insider: Honor is preparing Magic8 with 6.59-inch display and ultra-thin bezels

Honor is preparing to launch a new flagship smartphone, the Magic8, which is rumoured to have a more compact size and thin bezels around the display.
Here's What We Know
According to a well-known insider at Digital Chat Station, the base model of Magic8 will have an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. However, unlike its predecessor, Magic7, the display diagonal will decrease from 6.78 to 6.59 inches.
This may make Magic8 more convenient for users who prefer compact devices. At the same time, Honor will not be the only company looking to reduce the size of its flagships - more smartphones with a diagonal of around 6.5 inches are expected to appear in 2025, including a possible Magic7 Mini.

Another important feature of the new product may be its ultra-thin bezels - their thickness is supposedly only 1 mm or even less. This indicates that manufacturers are gradually moving to smaller OLED panels with improved efficiency, instead of the large 6.8-inch displays that have been popular in recent years.
In addition to the base version, Honor is likely to introduce other variants of the Magic8, including the Magic8 Slim model. The official announcement of the series is expected in October 2025.
