Hisense has introduced a new E8Q series of TVs that feature a 330Hz refresh rate, U+Mini LED technology and an audio system developed in collaboration with Devialet.

Here's What We Know

The E8Q and E8Q Pro models are designed for high-quality viewing of various content, including games and sports broadcasts.

The main advantage of the new TVs is Obsidian Screen technology, which reduces glare and deepens blacks for a more realistic picture. The standard E8Q model uses Obsidian Screen Pro, while the Pro version uses Obsidian Screen Ultra for better contrast and light control.

The TVs also support a 330Hz refresh rate, which allows for better clarity of moving images, especially during fast-paced scenes. Both models are equipped with artificial intelligence chips that help optimise brightness and colour in real time.

For gamers, these TVs have HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K at 170Hz. The TVs are also certified with FreeSync Premium Pro, which minimises screen tearing issues during gaming. The sound in the models was developed jointly with Devialet and supports Dolby Atmos technology and IMAX Enhanced certification, which provides deep and surround sound.

The TVs run on Android 14 with artificial intelligence features for dynamic image optimisation.

Prices for the Hisense E8Q series start at RMB 7,499 (~US$1,040) for the 65-inch model. The 75-inch variant is priced at RMB 9999 (~US$1385), the 85-inch model costs RMB 12,999 (~US$1800), and the largest 100-inch version is priced at RMB 22,999 (~US$3180). The Hisense E8Q Pro series is represented by models: 75 inches for 13,599 yuan (~1885 USD), 85 inches for 17,999 yuan (~2490 USD), and 100 inches for 27,999 yuan (~3870 USD).
