During the latest Campfire Chat, Blizzard developers working on Diablo 4 spoke about the latest season, admitting that events did not unfold as expected. They confirmed that the game has become much easier, and players now complete a level "twice as fast" as in previous seasons, even on higher difficulty levels. However, this will change soon.

Here's What We Know

In the upcoming season, players can expect slower progression and harder grind compared to the current season, which is focused on the Vessel of Hatred expansion pack.

During the stream, Blizzard's Colin Finer said that players were progressing through the content too quickly, reaching level 60 and gaining the Paragon classification with little resistance.

In Season 8, players will level up more slowly during the first 25 levels of the character, and rare loot, such as legendary items, will be much harder to find.

The team also noted that a disproportionate number of players reached the highest difficulty level too quickly, which is an indication of imbalance. As a result, Blizzard will introduce new, harder bosses and increase the difficulty of existing ones.

When We Can Expect It

The next season of Diablo 4 is expected to start on 29 April.
