Castle building, new map and AI-controlled cities: Manor Lords developer talks about further innovations in the strategy

The developer of Manor Lords is actively working on improving the game. Earlier, game designer Grzegorz Styczeń published a poll asking for players' opinions on what to add in the next major patch, and the public voted in favour of implementing a large-scale castle building system.
In a new edition of his blog, Styczeń said that he is already working on implementing the requested content and shared what it will look like.
Here's What We Know
The Polish developer revealed that the size of the castle will depend on the state of its lord, and players will be able to customise every single element of the castle wall in detail, adding new compartments, loopholes and lining up soldiers on the walls.

Manor Lords will feature a new map Devil's Hill - it will be a picturesque valley with a huge hill in the centre. This led Grzegorz Styczynia to the idea of adding a separate mode to the game, in which players will fight for resources located on the hills.
The author plans to radically rework the progression system: he is not satisfied with the current progression tree, and many gamers are in favour of replacing it with another system.
In parallel, Styceni is working on the implementation of AI-controlled cities, but he is not ready to talk about them yet.
The date of addition of the voiced innovations is not disclosed yet.
Manor Lords was released in Early Access on 26 April 2024 on PC (on Steam, GOG, EGS and PC Game Pass).
