Nintendo Switch 2 could get voice chat support: a patent discovered has revealed an important option for the console

Nintendo Switch handheld consoles have a huge amount of advantages, as evidenced by the more than 150 million units sold. However, many gamers complained about the fact that the system does not support voice communication.
It seems that the Japanese manufacturer has taken this drawback into account and the Switch 2 will still have the long-awaited feature.

Users of the network paid attention to the patent registered in February 2025. It describes the functionality needed to realise voice communication. Details on how this feature will work are still unknown, but it is assumed that it is for the activation of voice chat and the mysterious new Switch 2 button, located on the side of the Joy-Con controller.
