The Ori franchise has become one of Xbox's biggest successes in recent years, with Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps receiving widespread critical acclaim. Now the series has reached another important milestone in terms of sales.

Here's What We Know

Thomas Mahler, co-founder and CEO of Moon Studios, as well as the director of both Metroidvania games, recently tweeted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ori and the Blind Forest.

He said that to date, the series has sold more than 15 million units worldwide across all platforms. It is noteworthy that these figures only take into account direct sales, meaning that players who have accessed the games through Xbox Game Pass are not included.

This is the first time that official sales figures for the Ori series have been released. Although it was announced in 2020 that the number of players in Ori and The Will of the Wisps exceeded 2.8 million, neither Microsoft nor Moon Studios has previously shared specific figures for Blind Forest.

Where To Play

The Ori series is available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
