Galaxy Fold 7 may get a 200MP camera and new features

Samsung is preparing a major update for its foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Fold 7 may receive major camera improvements, including a 200MP primary sensor.
Here's What We Know
According to GalaxyClub, the new camera will consist of the following elements:
- A 200MP primary camera, the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
- A 12 MP wide-angle camera.
- A 10 MP telephoto sensor.
- A 10MP front camera on the outer screen.
Improved Under Display Camera (UDC).
It could not be confirmed whether the UDC resolution will remain at 4 MP, but it is known that the sensor has received some improvements. For comparison, the Galaxy Fold 6 has a 50MP main camera.
Samsung first used a 50MP camera in the Fold series with the Galaxy Fold 4. However, the move to 200 MP is a significant step forward compared to previous models. The Galaxy Fold Special Edition was the first smartphone to exceed the 50MP limit, but it was only available in Korea and China, and did not have the under-the-display camera technology. It debuted last year with a 200MP main rear camera.
The Galaxy Fold 7 is expected to be announced this summer, around July, along with the Galaxy Flip 7. There are also rumours that Samsung is working on a tri-fold smartphone that could be released in 2025. According to the latest data from analyst Ross Young, the outer screen of this phone, as well as the Galaxy Fold 7, will measure 6.49 inches. This is almost the same size as the special edition Galaxy Fold.
