The United States has resumed supplying Ukraine with artillery shells, anti-tank weapons and ammunition for HIMARS.

Here's What We Know

According to CNN, citing a US official, the supply has been resumed in full, as some of the weapons were stored in Poland before being shipped. According to the official, artillery shells, anti-tank weapons and ammunition for HIMARS are being delivered to Ukraine again as part of the aid packages approved by the Joe Biden administration.

US contractors have also resumed maintenance, training and support for military systems in Ukraine. In addition, the Secretary of State of the Polish Ministry of Defence, Pawel Zalewski, confirmed that military aid is already coming from the logistics hub in Poland.

The resumption of supplies was the result of negotiations in Saudi Arabia, where Ukraine agreed to the US proposal for a temporary 30-day ceasefire. This regime can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties if Russia also adheres to it.

During the ceasefire, it is planned to exchange prisoners of war, release illegally detained civilians and return forcibly displaced Ukrainian children. The US has stressed that reciprocity from Russia is a key condition for peace.
