Firefight co-op mode returns to Halo Infinite with the Operation: Blue Team update

Halo Infinite is finally bringing back its favourite Firefight mode. The update called Operation: Blue Team brings not only Firefight Classic, but also updated maps and game mechanics.

Here's What We Know

Firefight Classic is a co-operative mode where teams of four players face endless waves of enemies. Each round consists of five waves, and three rounds form a set. Players share seven lives, and when they run out, the game is over. In this mode, it is also possible to end the game after each set if two players enter a special zone.

Firefight Classic brings back classic maps from previous games in the series, including Alpha Site and Security Zone from Halo 3: ODST, as well as Courtyard from Halo: Reach.

In addition to Firefight Classic, the update also introduces a new PvP mode called Hot Swap. In this mode, players change their weapons every 30 seconds, which requires quick adaptation to new battle conditions.

The Operation: Blue Team update not only brings back favourite mechanics, but also offers a free 20-level battle pass that includes cosmetics inspired by the Blue Team, the legendary Spartans of the series. At the end of the pass, players will receive the HERMES-class Kelly-087 armour.
